That's the one my man croons over, too. Oh, and Crystals? (sp/ph). Apparently he can eat 17 of their mini cheese burgers in one sitting?

This is the man that is 6ft 4 and weighs 75kgs. I think I hate him.. (but not, perhaps, his arteries).

Frankly, there was a time when I would have bought 4 meals a day from Chick FIL A. But I finally couldn't stand their discriminatory donations anymore. I will not enable those fuckeds.

Squirrels are rats with fluffy tails. True story.

oh and my old departed dog, Rocky, developed a friendly relationship with the squirrel that ate the birdseed off the ground under the birdfeeder. My Mr. SeaGirl (ha, I kinda like that name for him) used to refer to the squirrel as "Rocky's squirrelfriend". Now is that cute or what?

My dad (whom is a goofball) has a tin of nuts by his back door. He puts a few nuts out every day to amuse the dogs while the squirrels come to eat (okay, truly it's sadistic and drives the dogs ape-shitted but it amuses us). After Doing this for months we looked up one day and there was a squirrel at the sliding glass door, paws and nose against the glass, staring at the tin of nuts....'yo! Hey! We know they're in there!!! Gimme some nuts dude, come on!!!' Now the little rats do it all the time.

Hi Seagirl! Bet this is quite the read Nice to see you here and posting :) It must be hard to travel for work and be away from home ( wait that part sounds good! Teenagers) and take of your meals out. I don't know if I would stay on the straight and narrow. Oh thanksgiving, every year we cook the day before (and eat like pigs) then on thanksgiving I pack up turkey dressing cranberry sandwiches and go to the beach just my husband, kids and me. It's our own personal fuckED you to our families :D Last year was my surgery a week before.. so that didn't happen. It's funny my mom called today and said hey can we come with you? Ummm yeah...I told her ok but you won't see for me for Christmas (yes I'm mean) so thanksgiving I think will be easy not to over indulge its Christmas that has me worried! Family = stress and tons of food = eating ...

Thanks for responding...I'm back in Denver now with about 600 foils in my hair waiting to revert to a blond again.....deep sign of relief.

Being on the road is good and bad. I love the work, but I get a little lonely. I do get 3 day weekends almost every week, so I'm sort of ruined for the real world. I was feeling fat, but realized it was my new pants and belt that felt a little tighter than the ones I bought a month ago. I was sure I hadn't lost any weight. My Friday routine is to wake, pee, strip, weigh....today down another 4 lbs... So that makes 50lbs since surgery! 59 total. My mind fucksED with me. Continually. I have a thinking disorder to go with the rest of my complex set of not so unique food issues.

Thanksgiving on the beach sounds wonderful!!! We are doing Prime Rib this year. I'm not sure how I'm going to negotiate that. Lots of family and friends and food. I'm sure my usual week on the road is easier than holiday meals. In fact, now that I'm down to one Breakfast taco, sans the tortilla, and one beef taco (for lunch), without the tortilla again.. and greek yogurt from the hotel breakfast, eating on the road is much more sane and simple than before surgery when I ate it ALL, and was fucked in the brain the whole time. Weds was a bad day, maybe more tired or hormonal than usual.

Good news is I'm home. I weigh less. I'm sure to be blonder in another half hour. I'm having Prime Rib for Thanksgiving. I have friends here on this forum who truly understand me.

My dog, Nutmeg, jumped through our picture window to chase a squirrel. Fortunately she suffered not even a scratch.

The squirrel got away, and he laughed at her.

Squirrels are evil but entertaining. I moved to the country and there are none... now it is the coyotes who look in longingly thinking they can eat my lil dog or kitty.

whataburger and that 5 guys place are good - but I have a serious question... don't you get ill eating that food? Problem I have is that I am not in training..haha...not used to junky and fast good so when I do eat it, it gives me a tummy ache.

The crappier the food, the worse I feel. Every time.

I've been to Auckland and they definitely have McDonalds. How come you had to go to the US to see it! By the way, New Zealand is my favorite country, and the Bay of Islands is my favorite bit.

I didn't explain properly - I went to Des Moines in 1971. I grew up in the UK. No McDonalds in the UK in 1971! And trust me, they hadn't even HEARD of the golden arches here in NZ until the late 80's. Haven't heard of the other ones - Whataburger?

I live (almost) on the beach on the North Shore. Dolphins play in the bay on occasion, and I have seen Orca out there too (3 times in 8 years!). I guess we all have our wildlife :-)

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
