I'm approved revision gastric band to sleeve

Good morning,

I have great news. I’ve been approved for my revision surgery from gastric band to gastric sleeve. I was initially banded on July 28 2006 with little to no weight loss. My band slipped and my stomach as turned. I have a great surgeon that I trust Dr Joseph Kuhn out of Dallas Texas. I’m new to this site and can’t wait for my new journey to start  .

Congratulations! My mom had a revision done in September of last year - and she has said it was the best decision she ever made. Good luck!

Will your doc be removing the band and converting to the sleeve at the same time? Or have u had the band removed already. Please keep me posted....I am just starting that journey...met surgeon and getting necessary test required by ins company. Btw.....congratulations on getting revision approved. What ins provider do u have?

Hello,

He will remove band first then within 4to 6 weeks do the sleeve. All will be done before the year ends because I have already meet my deductible with insurance and need to do it before this year is up.

Hi.. I had my band removed and sleeved all in one surgery 4 weeks ago. I'm hoping that it'll help me. One thing though, after the third week, my weight loss came to a halt. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Trying to figure it out now.

Good luck!
