OK, This thread is dedicated to our new active lifestyles! Have a pic of you doing something active? Gardening, walking, or more? Lifting weights, camping, hiking.... horse back?

Let me start... heres one from my kayaking trip to Cosumnas River yesterday, and one from June Lake, Mammoth a couple of weeks ago. It fun to move!

yes but I am no activity for 4 more weeks... then allowed to start working up. No riding for at least 6 more weeks.... this is harder then you might think.

When I miss one day walking or dance class it drives me crazy, I can only imagine having to take it easy for weeks on end!

We can use this one... I walked today, 3.13 miles.

I know thats not as much as is recommended, (closer to 5 miles-10,000 steps) but it seems to work for me. I do that much about 3 sometimes 4 times a week. I go with a group on tuesdays and thursdays from my day program. About 7-11 of us go walking in the neighborhood, sometimes to a nearby mall, sometimes I make them birdwatch!

Awesome! The challenge thread is getting to big to keep track.

Today I rode 20 miles on the recumbent bike.

I will try to do something at least 4 days a week.

Feed that looks like so much fun!

I like the fact that your exercise is something you enjoy. So far the only thing I found kinda fun is mountain biking and my husband seems to have cooled of on taking me these days..

Just saw this thread! I'll join in but I don't know how to post pics on here. I'll figure it out eventually...I keep saying I'm going to have my 13 or 10 year old show me bc they know how to do all that kind of stuff on computers. I tried hitting the buttons up on top when I reply to a topic but I didn't see anything up there that looked like I could pull up and post my pics from my laptop.

Monday I worked out an hour with my trainer. We did a lot of weight stuff. I had been focusing more on cardio but I keep having problems with pulling my calf muscle so I am doing more weight lifting again. I do lots of different kind of exercises but anything with heavy weight lifting is my favorite. I don't know why but I just love it! Anyway...

Tuesday night I did an hour boot camp.

Today is my day off. I will actually do some ab work later but I am really sore today so I am taking it easy.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
