I would respond with, "Not really, he's a chubby chaser. He wishes I'd gain it all back."

You should tell her that he doesn't but that your BFF's husband does. VERY MUCH.

My husband didn't like me before and he doesn't like me now. He does like eating my leftovers. Hopefully, when I reach goal, I will find someone who does like me. I deserve to be loved, no matter what size I am.

Someone recently said "congratulations" to me about my weight loss and then said "and congratulations to your hubby too". I said "what's he got to do with it?" I'm getting thinner for ME.

Black Diamond,

Unfortunately, I am serious. We haven't had a "love connection" in several years. He doesn't find me desirable anymore. I can't find a job. He supports me and my 93 yo mom financially. I am trapped in a loveless marriage.

Wow! I completely get it!! I have 3 kiddos...eldest and youngest have dark brown/blackish hair an middle child is a carrot top...we had a family "friend" ask me (with my hubby standing right with me) who my middle child was for, without skipping a beat I replied, "I had an affair!", the idiot said, "OMG, I cannot believe you would say that in front of your husband!", to which I replied, "you asked in front of him!!!" URGH!!! some people are ignorant!!

Ppl are so hing up on outward appearance. I had a lady at work, I'm presleeve, ask to see a picture of me and my hubby I was showing off. She looked and said THIS is your husband? He's nice looking? In a question form like why would a nice looking man be with you. Smh. Yep. My husband loves me for ME. This surgery is also for ME. I include him in all my major decisions and when I said won't you be glad to have a skinny wife, he said I'm glad to have you as my wife.... Sigh.

Ppl with that amount of small mindedness will never know true love.

When my husband and I met, he was very successful and well-known in his field and I was not. People used to tell me all the time, and with great frequency, how lucky I was to have "caught" him. (Full disclosure I was younger and much cuter than; it wasn't so much about appearance.)

People are rude. I am sure they didn't think anything about how they were coming off. The best advice I ever got came about 10 years into the marriage when a former colleague said, "Please. That you are married to him is the least interesting thing about you." I heard Ethan Hawke once say the same thing about Uma Thurman being gorgeous, back when they were married.

Just remember, your weight loss is (or should be) the least interesting thing about you…to both you and your spouse.

why wait until you reach goal??

My husband and I have been married for almost 11 years. We get along wonderfully and love each other totally. He didn't care whether I had the sleeve or not, just wanted me to be happy and be willing to be in family photos. Now as I'm losing the weight he says things like " I'm gonna have to keep my eye on guys around you". As if I won't tell them myself to back off. Anyone dealt with a handsome hubby that developed insecurities as you lost weight? Pointers?
