My height may play the factor in which procedure I have....=/

I visited with my dr. earlier this week and I just came out and asked which procedure in your medical opinion would work for me ? After all the cards where on the table he told me in all honesty since I lacked in height that the sleeve may not b the best option for me. I'm 5'3 and he said there is a possibility there is not enough room for them to do the sleeve. Anyone ever had this problem arise ? I'm not favoring one procedure over the other it was just a question I thought needed to be answered. Well guess I got my answer. I visit with my surgeon Monday and he will tell me what is best (medically) for me considering all the factors.

Yes, this is the opinion of my primary dr. on the team. I meet with my bariatric surgeon Monday and will discuss with him which procedure will benefit me the most. I have also heard that the sleeve has variances of nausea post-op, more so than the by-pass. I realize everyone is different but have heard this statement quite a bit ??? I'm comfortable with either procedure so my height doesn't create a dead end. It'll b okay either way ! I will know more after Monday. Thanks for the responses ! I hadn't read or heard that an individual's height could determine their procedure....hmmm......something to inquire about if unsure of the procedure for you maybe......
