I have lost weight and my pants still fit the same

Today is post op day 8 and I am down 22 lbs. Why are my pants still tight as when I started this journey at 267 lbs?

I hope this is how it goes for me! I have all my smaller pants ready - I could probably wait for 100 pounds off before I actually "need" to buy clothes. :)

It's funny, I saved all my size 38 pants and XL shirts and sweaters ... for years they sat in plastic storage bins. My wife wanted to get rid of them, but I would always deny her saying, "No! I will get back into those! DON'T TOUCH THEM!" It was one of the motivating factors for getting the surgery. After about the 3rd time where she wanted to get rid of them, I was able to realize I needed help and turned to VSG.

Funny thing, after saving these clothes for years, I was only able to wear them for about 3 weeks! Oh, well. Goodwill was my best friend until I stabilized.

I wanted to let everyone know that Savers / Value Village gives you 20% off when you donate your clothes. You get a tax receipt too! They are clean, neat, and shop panel thrift stores. You can even find new stuff in there. I only know because I've worked for them for 5 year. Lol. I'm a DM. We help support 4 non- profit charities in my community. We pay them based on weight. The more you bring the more we pay. Best part is the money stays in YOUR local community!!!
