December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

Okay' date=' I added sknyinside and moved Simpley_ke up to the dates section! Was hoping to move myself today; however, that didn't happen. I called the office and actually reached the scheduler. She said she had my chart "right there" and needed to see if the doc had signed off on it. She put me on hold and I never spoke to her again! I waited and waited and then the phone started ringing and went to her voicemail. I waited 20 minutes and called back. I was put on hold and waited and waited and it went to voicemail again. Stinks. Seems like if it was right there I should have been able to schedule my date. Oh well....here's hoping for tomorrow![/quote']

Red...I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism in that schedulers office. We will all storm the office for you as the other poster said...

I commend you on your positive attitude and am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you will be adding your date to the list tomorrow! Keep that positive attitude going, and we'll keep our positivity headed your way as well!

Lol' date=' thanks! I take happy pills that have mysteriously been more potent in the last 1 month plus! My last increase (for anxiety) was in Juny but suddently in late September I just have been in the best mood! lol My Jeep broke down IN Atlanta in Friday afternoon rush hour and i was like, okay...whatever. I called the mechanic on Tuesday and he tells me my Jeep is dead, that's it, no more Jeep and again, okay....whatever! Husband did the laundry, ruined a cute shirt....laughed! Fell down randomly in the parking lot....not even a curse word! I told my hubby he better take advantage of this great mood because after surgery I may be a ridiculous hormonal mess! lol Right now, we are just enjoying the good mood! Happy wife, Happy life! lol[/quote']

I'll have what you're having! ;) sounds great!!

My husband say Happy Wife, Happy Life too!! :)

Well I was scheduled to have surgery at the end of December but I called an had mine rescheduled for the 1st week of January. I really would like to do in December because I'm very anxious, but my choice is based mainly on deductible issues. I want the max out of pocket fees I spend on surgery to cover me a whole year, not just 2 weeks! Idk maybe I'm crazy....

Random Question:

For all of the ladies that are heavy chested , what is the best sports or yoga bra to buy ..

- I don't want them to look smooshed

- I don't want them to look like they sag either

I don't see mine here anymore but I bought one from Title Nine. I think it's best if there is not a lot of stretch in them.

Here is a link to their bigger sports bras. They are a bit more than just getting one at the store, but I think a good sports bra is worth it!

Fingers and toes crossed you get on the list tomorrow. Hey I drive a Jeep too. And I'm a redhead. Would be funny if you got sleeved the 9th. We could be sleeve twins!

That would be fun! I really need a Wed or Thursday but at this point, might have to take what I can get!

Hi Everyone,

I just joined to night and have read a lot of the postings and feel so grateful to have a support group.

I just found out today that my insurances approved my surgery. I am so excited. I am working on my pre-surgery weight loss with the hope for a surgery date early December.

All my testing is complete, next week a post op NUT class and then one more class for pre op thru recovery classes.

I hope to get my surgery date on the calendar by next week if my weight loss is on track.

Looking forward to going through this life changing event with everyone.

Hi All,

Well it's real now...I'm self pay with Dr. Garcia in Tijuana and I put my deposit down 2 nights ago for a surgery date of December 5th. (My company's insurance policy has a specific exclusion)

Technically my pre surgery diet should start in a week or so but I started it this past Monday just to be sure I shrink my liver as much as possible.

I'm over 400 pounds and I have a long way to go so It will be nice to be part of this group and share our experiences through all of this.

Good luck to everyone!

So. My boss/husbands uncle, just seen on the calendar that I'm taking off for surgery. I work at a newspaper and I do the majority of the layout work. He comes up to me and says that I need to teach him how to do it, because he's heard of all the complications and is expecting the worse. wth. >:(

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
