Hey t-ray. You've come to the right place. Congratulations on your new band and you'll learn a whole lot here. You'll hear some negative and lots of positive. If you have a question, just ask. There's lots of OLD TIMERS here (not me yet, lol) that will have some good advice for you.

i was all alone too after my surgery. there isn't any support groups within a 2 hour radius. i sat in front of the computer for a couple of months and behold i found this website. oh what a blessing. even if you dont want to post you will find answers and support through all the wonderful ppl on this site. we all look forward to your journey. good luck and many blesssings

Well you've found them! Lots of great support and info here. I am pre-band but in less than three weeks I will be a fellow bandit. Can't wait! How are you doing? Best wishes for speedy recovery and easy entry into new life of health first.

Welcome! This is an awesome group of folks. I too got my band yesterday. Worse part it the gas in my collar bone area. And how tried are you with the clear liquids? I get to go back to the protein shakes on Friday. Best wishes to you on this new journey.

Welcome to the forum.

Are you supposed to be eating pudding the day after surgery? Aren't you supposed to be on clear liquids?

Just friendly advice, but that's a terrible idea. It's crucial that you stick to your doctor's post op diet exactly as directed and not cheat at all. Your stomach has been sutured, manipulated, and wounded. By cheating on your post op diet you're putting yourself at risk for ripping a stitch and other very serious complications.

I know it's hard but you'll survive it and it'll be behind you before you know it.

I was banded on Monday. I'm doing fine on liquids for now, but I can see 3 weeks of them getting a bit boring. I'm just struggling with gas pains now.

Welcome to band land!! Best of luck on your journey!!! One day at a time is the way to face it in the beginning, you got this!!!????
