So I found out about 2 weeks ago my 2008 band has slipped. I'm completely unfilled and can eat like a beast. I've gained 4lbs since unfill. I'm working with a new surgeon and insurance to get approved to take out my band and do the sleeve. My insurance coordinator stated I shouldn't have to wait the six months period because this is complications which I truly hope is correct because in the last week I've felt this strange "pulling pinching" pain from my port area, my left shoulder hurts and reflux is definitely getting worse. I don't know if its my mind because I know the band is "ruined", but I'm getting concerned...should I be? I see my doc the first week of Nov for the monthly check-in in lieu of the six month deal. Advice? Thoughts?

I had my lap band done in April 08 I lost a total of 90 lbs looking good went from a size 20-22 to a 10-12 lived every bit of that size. In 2012 my band had slipped the Doctor reverse it back and I started eating the horse the cow and the whole farm in 5 months my size has blew up to a size 18 I had no clothes to where cause when I lost that weight I gave away all of those clothes cause in my mind I knew I wasn't going back to that size. In the mean while I was still going to my doctor for fills every six weeks and to no anvil nothing was happening until one day after 6 fills already he gave me one that was so tight I couldn't get water down. Finally after 2 days I called him and said I need him to open me back up and he did when I got to his office and he weight me just in those 2 days I had lost 13 lbs. I wish I could of lost the weight fast like that on a regular but now it's just a very slow process inches then a few pounds. I only went from the 18 to a 16 I have a very long way to go but now I'm thinking about getting the sleeve. I'm going to my doctor one more time for a full and if the weight doesn't start to drop off fast like before I'll just go and get the sleeve.

Got my band in 2006..

My port is now pinching since I’ve had all the liquid taken out. I’ve been coughing since Feb 27 2020.. Not a good year to be coughing all over the place ...Now I’m also on aciphex.. I have no insurance
