Well as the title says really, Im 36 i live in the UK and for the last 10 months ive been researching the Gastric Band, Yet all of that was thrown into the air when i spoke to somone about Plication.

I have since decided that this will be the surgery i have and it will be done in Czech through a company who have 100% reputation..

I have around 85lbs to lose and my BMI is 43

Im so looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life but unfortunatly i have to pay for the surgery myself so it probably wont be until the begining of 2012 so ill be using this site for more information and to follow your journeys and find out more about the ongoing experiances with this new procedure ..

Welcome to a fellow person from the UK. Are you talking about www.gastricwrap.com? They seemed reputable but had a minimum BMI requirement of 35 so I ceased investigating at that point (they operate at a lower BMI in Mexico).

I am also from the UK and will be having my Gastric Wrap(as they call it over here) by Cosmetic Bliss. My date for surgery is 21st August. My sister had the Band with them last year and she is doing really well.
