Hi all' date='

This is my 3month pic next to a picture I took a couple of weeks after I decided to get the surgery in Jan/Feb. I am down 76lbs total since then, 46 of that was post op at my 3 month appt last week. It's has been a roller coaster but I am still glad I did it! Thanks for being my friends here. You have been my rock!

I am just 11 lbs away from loosing my first 100lbs! My mind cannot even process it! I can't remember if I posted this side by side or not but it tells the whole story! Me at my heaviest and then just last weekend. For the first time in a long time I am excited about my future! Really really excited! Oh and a friend put it together for me so the text on the side is his encouraging words.

I honestly still can't see any difference. In down nearly 80lbs now since surgery. The dark hair is before surgery and the blond hair was yesterday.

What do y'all think? Please be honest...saying I look the same WON'T hurt my feelings.

I can tell a difference. It's a bad angle for us to answer that question tho!!! Doesn't show much!

Well today was my 3 month follow-up. I'm not doing as well as many/most of you. I am down 46lbs by their scale (48.4 by mine but who's counting?) so I missed the 50 - 60 lb goal so I'm bummed and beating myself up today. I can give a slew of excuses and I know I need to get to exercising more, and drink more fluids.

Dr was not discouraged tried to tell me I've lost 42% of my anticipated loss but I'm still wallowing in self-pity. I feel good, my blood pressure is down, I've thrown out my first pair of fat pants so it's stupid I am crying about 4 lbs but I'm so upset about it. New goal is 30 -40 lbs in the next 90 days.

Thanks for the long whiny post.

What is everyone eating for lunches? That seem to be the meal i have the hardest time with!

Today I had 2oz of hamburger w/ 1/8cup of chedder and a tablespoon of catsup.

OK, momma doe, time for a pep talk. There are MANY ways to measure success. The scale is only one of them. YOU HAVE LOST 48 pounds in three months - nearly half your expected loss! That's incredible!! When in your life have you done that before? You are wearing smaller clothes (and doesn't that feel better than the number on the scale)! I would bet that if you had measurements taken before surgery it would show a number of inches gone - and we don't beat ourselves up because our waist size is not dropping fast enough.

Goals are great. We all make them, and it is good to have something to strive for. But getting too wrapped up in the number on the scale will just drive you nuts. You have accomplished SO MUCH!! Remember to focus on the whole you - not just one number, on one day, on one device. You are so much more than that!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
