I'm asking Santa for a "Fitbit" this year' date=' from what i have researched they are the most versatile and the band you wear is small

http://www.fitbit.com/

I think what ever you decide on it a move in the right direction, I currently use a new balance pedometer that has a USB interface so i down load all of that data into my PC , but it is a clip on . found it at target on clearance sale from 48.00 down to 28.00 i like it

Cheers

Do you know if fitbit runs on Bluetooth or wifi? I live so far out in the country wifi isn't an option. So I have to stick with Bluetooth interface.

I don't know much about them just starting to look into it. I like the idea of it!

good question.i believe they all sync with your phone no transmission you plug it in direct to sync and charge. they seem more of a data collection device the phone or computer processes the bulk of the data. trying like you to find some one who actually wears one :-)

check you tube there are several reviews. look for fitness band reviews 2013 the compare the 4 most popular. good luck let me know what you find out.

Happy Labor Day June RNY Friends,

I live in Minnesota. A huge event here is our State Fair. It is second in attendance only to the Texas State Fair, and the Texas Fair is twice as long. Like most fairs, food is a HUGE part of the fair. I LOVE the State Fair. I have not missed one in more than 30 years! I wasn't sure how I could go this year and basically eat nothing. But I did! I had a great time!! I even had a two bites of a dairy malt - my first ice cream since early June! I left having had a really enjoyable day and not feeling deprived. This morning I was rewarded with the scale being down. The fair grounds are big, we were out there for over 8 hours, and I am sure we spent most of that time walking. And the best part is this morning I am not even sore! Nice to know I don't have to completely give up my old life to embrace my new life!

About 6-7 years ago I lost about 50 lbs. through diet and exercise, but I regained it all and then some. I saved all that old clothing and I've been happily fitting into it again. Today while looking for things to put in next week's garage sale, I found 4 totes of forgotten clothing in sizes 22-14. I'm currently in a 22 or 20 depending on the item. It felt like I won the lottery!!

I just got a fit bit for my Birthday and I love it! I researched them for awhile and they had great reviews. It comes with a blue tooth USB toggle you leave plugged in to your computer and you can sync it when you get a chance. You can also download the app on your phone and Bluetooth sync it there as well. You can log Fluid and food intake on the app/online as well as set weight goals. I actually like it better than the my fitness pal.

I am struggling ... I am not interested in food and am only eating like once a day. The thought of anything makes me nauseated. Im almost three months out. Anyone else?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
