I feel the same way. I am 9 weeks out and 42 lbs down (38 according to my surgeon' date=' but she didn't know I had gained 4lbs right before surgery. Haha)... At any rate, I see all these people losing like crazy an I wonder what I'm doing wrong!

[/quote']

I am also around 9 weeks out and down about 45 pounds. I feel like that is really awesome! Just think about it... if you take off 42 pounds every two and a half months.... it will add up quickly!

I think we're all in the same boat. I've only lost about 40lbs as well and have barely gone down a size. I see that I'm getting skinnier but my clothing size doesn't reflect it at all. Everyone keeps asking how much I've lost and telling me that I'm getting skinny. I've lost 62lbs total but 38 since surgery. I think I just have to look at it in a positive way. I only have 3 more lbs until I'm half way!! That's incredible in 5 months work!! I would have never been able to lose this much so quick without this surgery. Hopefully in another 5 months I'll be at my goal. It'll go by quick.

42 lbs at 9 weeks is 4.6 lbs a week! THAT'S AWESOME!!!

That's actually allot of weight! Go to the gym or even a place that sells weights and pick up what you've lost and just hold it for a few minutes then put it down....then you will really appreciate how much you've lost. Keep on keeping on...you will win the battle

I know that 35-40 pounds in two months time is nothing to sneeze at. But I feel I'm so far behind everyone else. I downloaded this "Get To Goal" app that plots your weight loss next to averages in a graph and it keeps telling me to "Keep Working" because I'm way below the average.

What kind of Calcium supplements are you taking? I can't seem to find one I like or can tolerate well.

I'm taking the calcium citrate and Skinny Cow cheese. ;o)

Rhyzell,

How is Skinny Cow? I have heard several other forum members mention it . Is that the one that comes in tiny wedges? and do they have different flavors ? any recommendations ?

Thanks

I have a very upset pouch today. Not sure what I did to her but geez I feel like I am back at square 1! I can't even think about drinking a Protein Shake without the thought of loosing it. Hmmmmm I guess it's liquids for me for a couple of days!

RJ, I think you might be thinking about Laughing Cow cheese. I love that stuff! I dip my almonds in it!

Sara Beth,

Thanks!, Thought they were the same thing .... Do you know the difference? I'm just concerned about the fat content.

I have never been a big cheese eater but i do love feta cheese on everything , do they have Feta cheese ?

My favorite is the Swiss. The Tomato is a bit much. I haven't tried the others. It is really good with crackers and a bit of turkey!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
