Kaiser Permanente, Southern California

If you're a member of Kaiser Permanente in So Cal, they have a great Bariatric Dept in West LA. They cover the surgery, also!

Dr. Jorge Zelada was my surgeon; he was FANTASTIC!

Hi! I was with blue cross but they had a specific provision excluding bariatric surgery so I'm officially with Kaiser as of January 1st. Any advise on how to get approved? I'll basically be meeting my new primary and trying to convince him to say I need the surgery all in the same day. Just curious if you had any insight on how the process works with Kaiser. I'm in Corona so I'm guessing I'll be going through Kaiser in Riverside.
