So' date=' I can officially say I'm starting to loose. I lost 16 pounds just on the pre-op diet, but I gained 10 in the hospital from all the fluids. I've finally lost that 10 plus 1.....so am I done just 1 lb? or 17? Either way, I'm down so I guess it doesn't matter. Yeah.....I'm told it only gets better from here....also, today is my last day of full liquids, start Puree stage tomorrow. Never thought I'd be so excited about putting cottage cheese in my mouth.[/quote']

Yaaay for you!!,I'm glad your seeing the lbs coming off!! Success my friend. I am so excited as well to eat cottage cheese! Yummy! My yogart was good this morning. No complaints with the pouch so far, but crossing my fingers. I'm so glad we are both doing well! :-) keep me posted on our purree stage. Are you going to follow exactly the same schedule as the list for Mond thru Friday?

You know what's gonna be yummy. I made last night for todays dinner. Take a can of cream of broccoli and you puree with chicken broth until you get a thin consistency. It makes a yummy thin puree Soup. Also I pureed a low sodium bean soup. Beans are a great source of Protein. I made a lot in my Magic Bullet and stored in the fridge. I can have 1/2 cup. sugar free pudding is also good. And believe it or not scrambled eggs ( very soft) runny scrambled eggs. I added a little packet of sweet & low to the egg mixture before cooking. Yummy. Hope this helps.

It's actually the liquid puree stage for a week before full puree stage. Funny how surgeons differ for the diets pre op and post op.

Thank you it does help. For some reason when I think of pureeing food it just grossed me out but I better get used to it. I will be in that phase for 3 weeks.

I had my surgery May 8 and haven't had any hunger issues. Tonight starts my 3rd week, and I added almond milk for the first time, and some cream of chicken (thinned with water). All is well, but I'm having what used to think of as hunger pains. I know my pouch isn't empty, and it kind of feels like a really big gas bubble? Any one else have this?

You made me giggle, because I had that same issue. Better out than in, especially right after surgery! Don't push too fast.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
