I think I was well-informed but a little naive about it all. I didn't realize how different life would be. But I am happy.

I think if I hadn't found this website there would have been ALOT of things I would have wished I had known. But thanks to all who have posted their journeys, there were no surprises for me.

That's great!! I know I for one have learned so much already!!

No real surprises, just a lot of "Ah Ha" moments when something happened and I realized I knew what someone meant, like when I realized I no longer liked pork sausage, it dawned on me that my tastes were changing, which I was told would happen, but didn't believe because it took a few months.

I wish I had banked my own blood before the surgery. I had to have two units while I was in the hospital and wish I had done this!
