I was in terrible pain for 2 weeks after my surgery and was wondering what had I done to myself. Week 3 got a little better and by week 4 I felt really good. I am exactly 5 weeks today and I feel great and am down 33 pounds. Keep your head up. Take your pain meds and stay hydrated. Good Luck!

I'm almost 3 months out and just getting to the place where I can say I'm 100% glad I did this. I had major buyers remorse for a few weeks after. I promise it gets easier.

One day post op with buyers remorse. Nauseated.

That happened to me on day 6. I was home alone, only could handle Water and forcing Protein shakes down since I didn't want anything else. I broke down in tears and was like why did info this to myself? Thankfully it passed. It totally gets easier as each day passes. Keep your head up and just try to remember why you chose this path in the first place.

That happened to me yesterday. I'm two weeks post op and just had a bad day with pain. I broke down crying and feeling sorry for myself because I still can't stomach food. Today I feel 100% better. Some days are easy, some are hard. Just think where you will be in a year. That's my motivation. Skinny and healthy!

One day post op with buyers remorse. Nauseated.

Happened to me on day 2 post op. I cried and cried thinking I made the worse decision of my life. Coming home sucked too...wasn't till I was 2 weeks post op and I decided to weigh myself and I was down 29lbs. Seeing that made me feel better and honestly it gets better and easier everyday!

All of the post are true, my 2nd day I'm the hospital I was devastated! I cried to the nurse and another lady trying to help. Today I am absolutely overjoyed with the results. May 6th will be 6 months. I went from 1x to a small in that small amount of time.

I am just as guilty as everyone else. I am 7 days post op and trying to find my way. I'm on the full liquid stage and im just list and hoping I'm doing the right things. The stomach being as small as it is how does it hold the Fluid and the oat meal. I.basically eat 2 ounces of oatmeal every hour until like 2 o'clock and trashed the rest. I.started my Protein Shake as well and I'm trying to do my Water. But my stomach feels like its full and about to pop all the time

Get sugar free Hawaiian punch it helps with the Water

When I was a few days out water felt like lead in my stomach

May sure you get water in before anything else you don't want to get dehydrated trust me

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
