Yes! Lol go buy some hydrocortisone cream and put it on. Works wonders! The itching means your incisions are healing properly.

My doctor said no creams or ointments on my incisions. So maybe you should call first just to make site. Probably depends a lot on the type of dressing.

When did you have surgery? I am thinking you may be having gas pains. I had some pretty sharp pains that felt like a knife in my side, and I came to find out that it was gas. It went away about 4-5 days post op. But some people have it longer.

I taken my pain meds everyday until today and I'm on my 6th day post op. and I hurt everyday... Everyone's different. I mean they did after all stick 6 things thru your abdominal wall and re arrange your insides. I thinks it only natural to hurt for a week or so! :)

One of my friends asked why I didn't just do diet and exercise instead of have the surgery.

I. Hate. People.

Think we're all getting the same question. People are a holes

I loved 'oh you're not big enough to need surgery!!!!' At my highest I was 312 lbs and I'm 5'6. Heck yes I was big enough!!! Crazy people!

I got the same comments about not being large enough. But when I asked people to guess my weight no one was on the money and most were surprised how much I actually weighed.

The nurses at the hospital called me a light weight since my BMI was lower than 40. I did not get upset since they took fantastic care of me while I was there.

Mine was right under 40 too.... and lots of people said the same. But that's after preop diet. Now i'm 30 lbs down and the same people comment on how much better I look.... amazing how their opinions change

I'm curious as to what people at work will say when I go back tomorrow... Especially the ones that had the same surgery, but gave me he'll for getting it. I'm almost 25lbs down since surgery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
