So for bawling my eyes out for two and a half weeks. My husband came and got his stuff.

So I am like screw this and posted my profile on a site. 6 people in less than 30 minutes. So I met this man for drinks. Lol Water for me. And this man is amazing. I had forgotten how much love and attention I was missing.

Good for you girl! Soon he will see what he missed out on! His loss! Hope you are feeling better!

Ok I just had a entire small Wendy's chili for lunch. That's a cup! Anyone else able to eat that much? Kinda freaked me out!! It scared me I'm eating more now. I know it's watery I guess but that's about the most I have been able to eat since surgery.

I love Wendy's chili! I can eat a large within a few hours! Great Protein and not many calories. It is soupy so not really worried about it stretching the pouch.

Guys. I am very freaked out. The more i am reading about where you are and what is allowed in relation to me, man, it worries me.

Like, i was allowed to take tablets a bit more than a month post op. i started drinking alcohol about 8 weeks post op (little, i might add. Only one glass of wine, and i take a long time to drink it). What else? Oh, i can eat a bit more than most it seems. Like a small steak.

I've had no problems and doing ok. Although my weight loss have slowed down considerably, but perhaps it is just also the 4 month slump.

I dunno. Feel weird. Totally off my anti-depressants since the op.

Perhaps I should go back on.

I do have to start gymming though!

Hmm idk I know even over here with the different dr's and nutritionists we keep hearing a variety of things that they are telling us. My weigh loss at this point is stopped dead in its track..I've actually gained!! I was more freaked out cause I thought it would be a year before I could hold a whole cup of food and today I did. Im glad u aren't having problems. That's wonderful and all any of us could hope for. Sounds like u are doing great( other than what we have shared about having the raging acne issues) that's wonderful to know. I'm still on my anti depressants but I'm not feeling so wonderful..not depressed just blah! Anxious is more like it. You are doing fabulous! Keep up the good work!

Its been a long day! A 8 hour round trip for my 15 year Olds Frenulectomy. Plus they cut off extra gum and shaved her bone down. All for the sake of get teeth not moving after her braces come off. I hate anything to do with mouth surgery!

At my 3 month appointment my doctor told me I could start swallowing small pills... So it is totally up to your doctor. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

See? This is crazy to me. My doctor had me swallowing pills in the hospital. The minute the morphine pump was out, they were dropping full percocets down my throat!

I was swallowing my pills whole in the hospital! I just had liquid pain meds for some reason! I have also had some alcohol. You are not alone! I think that as long as the weight keeps coming off at some rate, we are doing ok!

Just a check in...still having weird health symptoms..dizzy and weak. Now they think I'm having Migraine related vertigo...not good. I can't swim or drive...not supposed to be alone.it's really messing with my exercise routine. I do walk a lot with the dog and am running agility with him...still doesn't seem like a lot. Oh well, I'll get back on the horse once they figure this all out :)

Seen my primary care doc yesterday. Had a bunch of blood drawn...Will know results in a few days. Curious to know if i'm lacking in anything. Good news! She's weening me off my blood pressure meds! She thinks i may be hypoglycemic because i break out in sweats all day long. Could be menopause too. She explained how our bodys process everything differently now. Went into detail about blood sugars that went way over my head! I'm losing so slow and kinda down about it...but she was thrilled with my results so far. Made me feel better :)

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
