Well' date=' hang in there, you are tough. Take care of yourself first, so you will be ready when your child comes back and while hubby is on the mend.[/quote']

Thank u! My week is scheduled full but Fri I am taking off and taking a "me" day..haven't done that in forever..I live near the gulf and yet I never go to the beach. I'm taking Fri to enjoy some things. I'm just really on edge with my husbands health issues and this flipping surgerh he had to have and he flies to see a specialist next week. His whole military career has alot to do with how this 1 appointment goes and I feel so powerless. I miss my baby too and we have started doing face time while he is away at his grandparents.

I am right there with you. There has not been a single thing that has given me problems. I have been able to do all meats' date=' salads, fruits and even tiny portions of treats on rare occasion (my daughters birthday). I am so happy with how everything is turning out, I can't believe I waited so long to make my decision. I even actually went swimming with my girls and MIL this evening (in a swimming suit lol)[/quote']

Ya the only thing that bothers me is the Protein Bar. Just the one. I haven't tried any sweets yet. I'm scared to do that. Lol!

My name is Heather I live in Salem, NH. I just turned 40 a week ago. I have five kids my oldest is 20 boy my girl 18 boy 9 and 4yr old twin boys. Had my surgery on April 23 and my husband had surgery two weeks later.. It has been great going thru this together but he's lost so much more than me it's crazy!!! I did have a band 8 years ago lost over 100 lbs with my band then when I had my surprise pregnancy with twins I gained everything back became really sick with conjestive heart failure after the boys were born... Then couldn't get the weight back off with my band felt like a failure then finally had to much pain from my band and had my band removed back in October!! Then went thru the whole process for RNY again. So far I'm down 36 lbs since surgery and 52 all together.

It is sad how we locals live so close to the beach and we rarely go! Lol. I am the same way. You totally need a you day. I hope all goes well with your husbands appointment. Thank goodness for face time and skype with families at such distances. Take care of yourself and take it easy.

Still in beaver dam hospital. Didnt have to go to madison, at least not yet. Ultrasound showed no stone in the duct, so they think somewhere else may be blocked. The surgeon finally came at 1115pm! He is very busy tonight! Gonna order bloodwork for the am to see where things stand. May do surgery, or send to madison to have a different test they dont do here. He is sick, and nauseous, and uncomfortable. The pain medication is making him crabby too. Hope we get alittle sleep! Thanks for the concern. You guys are great!

Surgeon just left. He will be having it removed early afternoon. Also having a scope to check for stones in all the ducts since liver labs are still way off and pee looks like coffee. Even the whites of his eyes are yellow. At least the pain is less today. Please keep us in your thoughts. And thanks! You are all awesome!

Heather (htoup),

We had surgery the same day and it looks like we are pretty on track with each other. My starting weight was 314, just a few from yours and I've lost 39 according to my dr. Apt last week. Neat to see someone so similar. Best of luck.

Dori- hope all is going better with ur son.

Also I notice a lot of you are saying that you've been feeling down lately or just not feeling like yourself. When I had my apt with my primary care doctor last week (she actually had rny herself 10 years ago so she is a great support) anyway she said that at three months after rny depression tends to hit for awhile for lots of patients. So just wanted to let everyone know as we are approaching the 3 month mark to watch for that.

Hope everyone has a great summer day today, best of luck.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
