Down 18lbs in 15 days, and a total of 55 since August. Feeling good about myself for the first time in a very long time. Hope everyone is feeling awesome and has a great day! :D[/quote']

Heya

How you all doing? I am 3 weeks post op and I have to say I find this whole business much tougher than I thought it would be.

I don't know what to eat! I cannot stomach any porridge stuff so what to have for Breakfast? ? I am also lactose intolerant so I cannot have yogurt or any milk' date=' makes me so so nauseous.

What are you others living off? I can feel that I am not getting enough nutrients in as I am very low and down. Any tips??

I've lost about 22 pounds since the op.

You can eat the same stuff for breakfast that you do for lunch and dinner--soup, Beans, chicken. ;) Can you have soy milk? If not, you can always try the Syntrax Nectar shakes--they mix with Water. I like the Fuzzy Navel flavor best.

Had surgery on April 10th wednesday home by April 12th friday. sore of course when i got home but no bowel movement for ten days turns into small bowel obstruction. back in hospital on april 17th wednesday a week later and surgery again. woke up with a nasogastric tube a g tube with drainage bag. they capped off naso tube on sunday until then only ice chips which didn't start until friday. now after the first surgery was tired and a little weak but now when i get a little tired or short of breath i can sit down for a few minutes and i am ready to go again it is the weakness that is worst than before. right now may 6 I still have the g tube which has been great for taking Meal Replacements and Water into because the smell of the Meal Replacement causes my stomach to turn. and i can crush all my vit and other meds and put them in my tube. only foods that i have been able to eat since surgery is small curd cottage cheese' date=' greek yogurt, tuna, Jello and pickles. i tried to eat grilled chicken and veg beef Soup after each bite i felt it stop in my throat and i didn't feel relief until i regurgitated it. I have no appetite so guess it is just better for me to continue meal replacements and Protein Powder and drink my water. Was told that the g tube would be in for 6 weeks. don't really mind it because i can push the meal replacement mixed only with water through my tube. If i didn't have it i would have mixed the meal replacement with skim chocolate milk like i did pre surgery.[/quote']

I hope everything gets easier for you as time goes on. best wishes!

Ive lost 22lbs so far and their is ni difference my clothes are just as tight as they were before surgery and the weird thing is my bras don't fit they are all way too tight im i losing it all in my big toe???

Pebulz I started losing about three months before surgery and I didn't see any difference for a loooong time. I'm down a total of about 45 lbs from December. I would say I couldn't tell a difference in my clothes till about 35 pounds were gone. Don't worry, it will happen for you too!! Try to be patient ;)

Just tried on my size 22 Levis that I LOVE! they were too loose! I almost died! The butt and legs are so baggy' date=' I can't even wear them. What a great feeling. I have them in size 20, 18, and 16 too. I'll have to dig them all out soon! By the time it gets cold enough for jeans again, I hope they are all too big. I'm loving this today![/quote']

Woohoo! Exciting stuff!

Yay!! My pants aren't big enough yet for a new size' date=' but they look a little bit like a soggy diaper around my butt! Super loose on the legs, too! I wish I had a collection of sizes like you. I see a lot of leggings and tunics in my near future!

So... Today is a month since surgery (4/8 - 5/8). I got on the scale this morning and was 240.3!!! That's 30.3lbs since surgery!! ... Unless you count the 10lbs of Water weight I left the hospital with, then its 40.3lbs!! I wore a pair of pants yesterday that i haven't fit into since 2/2010. Some of my coworkers said they looked too big!! I'm having a rough time with water intake and sometimes i forget a Vitamin or two but man... This was the best decision I've ever made for myself! :D

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
