Yes I can use fat free mayo or the light kind. The tuna can just be mashed with a fork, but I put the chicken in a food processor.

Today was a great day! I went back on pain meds this AM. I walked a bit more today. I am really getting rid of the gas now! My doctor has me on Clear Liquids for the first 6 days. Absolutely no gas meds. He said I will pass the gas quickly if I walk more. Less pain in my stomach all the time. Tomorrow going to try a mile walk. My drain is really draining well. I go back for my follow up on Monday. Blood pressure is normal and blood sugar is 102. I'm not on any meds at all! PTL!

I'm not hungry for anything. I could take them and just drink Water. I absolutely have no cravings for food and I'm not bothered by other people eating around me. Everyone is different and you need to do what "you" feel comfortable with. I know we don't want to disappoint our children, but if it could cause you to stumble, you should stay clear from the situation. Good luck tomorrow and have a great weekend!!

How much do you'll eat at a time? I'm 5 weeks out.

Hi Nel On Monday (5/6) I will be 5 weeks out. I eat 2 oz (1/4 cup) at each meal. I am striving to get in 6 meals, but I'm averaging 3-4. Work In Progress!

So i had my first vomiting/regurgitation experience last night after work. I had two strawberries and ate them too fast. It's a very odd feeling. I got that stuck feeling followed by "frothing" so tons of spit. Vomiting felt more like burping and the undigested food slid right up. I have been TERRIFIED of vomiting since surgery. I know logically I wouldn't mess anything up, but fears aren't always logical! I had nightmare visions of tearing everything apart inside and vomiting my stomach out! Crazy. Thank goodness it was nothing like that!

I'm two and a half weeks out and had lost almost 15 lbs. I weighed myself this morning and found that I've *gained* a pound. Has this happened to anybody else yet? I'm staying within my portion sizes and still on the stage 3 soft Protein diet.

It happens all the time. I seem to be one of the slowest losers here myself (only 14 lbs in over a month...) but day to day fluctuations of a couple pounds are totally normal for anyone. They can have to do with Water intake/retention, bowel movements, our special time of the month... Don't freak out, just stick to the plan. Get your liquids and your protein. That's what I'm trying to do everyday!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
