You know my doctor put me on Clear Liquids in the hospital for 2 days and then on day 3 when I was going home my Breakfast was an egg and lunch was really chopped chicken with ff mayo and a canned unsweetened pear. Of course I didn't want it but since I have been home I eat cottage cheese' date=' tuna, ff refried Beans and stuff like that. I wonder why we have different diets?[/quote']

Oh my gosh--every doctor has a different plan! It's crazy how different they can be!

I have one day of clear liquids then on to puree. Protein only. No refried beans. Also if it is to heavy i fall back on the clear liquids.

I'm feeling a little frustrated. I was down 11 lbs the first week after surgery and then maintaining. I weigh myself in the mornings' date=' and I've gained a pound a day for the past two days. I'm getting all my Protein and liquids in and walking so I really don't get it! Isn't this supposed to be the honeymoon phase where the weight is just pouring off? Could it be that I'm due for my period soon? But still... This is really frustrating!

From what I've read on other month's boards, it is totally normal to have week long stalls, sometimes even two or three weeks at a time. Some people lose a lot at first, but most of us go in fits and starts. Don't get down about it, it will eventually come off again.

refried beans is very high in protein. My tummy loves those the best. I put a little cheese and microwave it so it smushy and 25-30 sec. and then put a very little bit of ff sour cream. It is so good and high in protein. Not many calories...about 60

I didn't have a leak test or a swallow test. It knd of freaks me out when others mention it. I had my first major nausea. I ate an egg with cheese. Just 3 bites and knew it was bad. Didn't throw it all up...but it was. Bad. I'm having problems with Protein too. I'm trying not to get...I don't know

You did not even chew on the blue ice? In sure they tested you during the surgery though.

I didn't have those tests either. Just nothing by mouth the first day and the second day was 42 oz of liquids started really slowly. I tolerated that just fine and now on day 6 and up to 64 oz.

Its this frozen ice with a blue dye added to it. You chew it up and if it goes thru your drain bags your stomach is leaking.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
