I am so nervous started pre op diet today and I am so hungry lol

You can do it!! I was thinking the same thing though. My pre op appt is next Tuesday. I start my pre op diet on my Birthday, April 30. If you get hungry, just freeze the crystal light drink in pops so you can crunch on something. One of our May members gave me that idea. Thank goodness, because I'm gonna need to chew. Lmso.

Surgery date: May 14, 2013

What does everyone pre-op diet look like.? Mine is basically a high Protein low carb diet. I will learn more next week at the pre-op appt.

Mine starts April 30. A Protein Shake for Breakfast, a protein shake for lunch and a lean cuisine for dinner. I also need to drink 64 ounces of Water during the day.

I started my pre-op diet on March 25th....it's a 6 week diet. I am in week 4 which consists of 2 high Protein Shakes, 2 small Protein shakes, a salad (lettuce, cheese, & Chicken) and SF jell-o and SF pudding. When I hit week 5 & 6 I will only be on liquid so I will mostly be drinking high protein shakes. It has been hard but knowing that my surgery is just around the corner only helps my motivation. I am determined to stick to the diet plan the last 2 weeks to make sure that I am healthy inside and to help the surgery be successful.

Day two pre op down and going better today than yesterday did find out I am allowed to eat some fresh fruit I was supposed to add to shakes but since I am using sugar free flavored syrups that add absolutely nothing but taste to my diet I can have the fruit on the side so that was a blessing

I just finished all my requirements except for workshops. My program requires three educational workshops before surgery. The April ones were full so I'm scheduled for May 7' date=' 14, and 21. My coordinator is going to try to get preapproval so the surgery can be scheduled imediately following the last workshop. My surgeon does surgery on Wed and Thurs so we're shooting for May 22 or 23. I'm crossing my fingers...[/quote']

Yay! I got my preauthorization from my insurance co! It was very fast. Once I start my workshops in May they will schedule my surgery. Still looking at May 23rd, as long as my doctor's schedule doesn't fill up.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
