O...m...g...I WANT SOME!!!! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I made the recipe and if I figured the nutritional values right (I uses my fitness pal) One 3.5" cap with stuffing is 195 cals, 9g fat, 17g Protein. I was only able to eat about 3/4 of mine. It was delicious though :-)

Its such a nasty day out today (rain/thunderstorms) I was thinking about making fish chowder. Mmmmmm liquid comfort. The way I make it I usually use 1% milk so its not too thick. My question is has anyone tried to make chowder of any sort using evaporated skim milk? For some reason I have it stuck in my mind that evaporated milk is better then regular. Am I correct or not?

I think it had more fat and calories but tastes better in chowder. Read the label and compare

I had about 3/4 of a 3.5" cap with the crab stuffing. It was very good and I had no issues with it :-)

What kind of BBQ Sauce do you use?

The weber original was the lowest sugar sauce I found (6grams). I sear the tenderloin then put it in the crockpot with 3/4 cup of the sauce and about 2 cups of Water. When it falls apart I pull out the pork and reduce the sauce back down the 3/4 cup. Then I measure out only a half cup from that. It's plenty sauce an it keeps the sugar down.

It actually isn't to bad. I got the 1% evaporated and used a half a can. Funny enough, the fat free has 2 grams more sugar then the 1%. And the 1% has only a half a gram of fat. A serving of chowder only has like 3.5 grams of fat and 8 grams of sugar and the sugar is from the milk. The chowder came out really rich. Yum

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
