That's all that I taste, and smell it's gross

It's driving me crazy-and my taste buds are really off right now. Just glad to hear it stops; the nice part is I'm not craving sweets so that's awesome.

Well I like most of us would eat till there was discomfort in my stomach, you know on the left. Now you will feel slight discomfort to the center. Do not worry about pouch stretching as I can drink a ton of fluids, but handle only about 2 bites then time must go by before food is tolerated.

this happened to me today, but a painful full. ugh, never want to do that again!

Any other 1/14 dates going back to work Monday?? I met up with the girls from work tonight & now I'm scared I'm not gonna last all day 9-10 shifts : /

Yep! I am partially looking forward to it and also dreading it. We had a company party tonight that I had planned to attend but just couldn't muster up the energy. How in the world am I going to take a full day in the office?!?!

Good luck on Monday!

I have no energy for life's demands now :-( If I went back right now I'd have to juggle-- (3) 12hr shifts, my 3 kids, cooking, a husband and getting my son to baseball practice. I am not ready.

Throwing my scale out the window!! Feeling frustrated. I'm a prisoner to my scale. I literally get on it 7 times a day (I am a little OCD in real life) and its not moving. I think it's taunting me because I do get on it so often. I'm getting my fluids in. Struggling with the protein. Eating soft foods. Still not getting in more than 500-600 calories a day. Can't exercise yet per drs orders. Had some minor complications during surgery dr is concerned about exerting myself. So not much I can do to make the scale move but I am succeeding in slowly driving myself and my bf insane. Could I be the only person that gastric doesn't work for? Ugh...

Oh me too! My scale hasn't budged since Wednesday and I have actually shed years over it. I am following my doctor's instructions to the letter so all I can do is just hope for the best. I started a thread about this and everyone has been saying it is totally normal, but I can't help but think that this is just the start of another failed diet program :(

We'll get through it! Hang in there, follow the rules, and give your scale a good kicking.

The old adage patience is a virtue, or Rome wasn't built in a day comes to mind. I know you are frustrated, but it will work just takes time. The amount of your calories is low, be sure you are getting adequate protein intake. That way you just lose fat and not any of your muscle mass. I encourage you to fill your mind with positive thoughts, and be kind to yourself. This gets better.

I had surgery on the 17th and worked a 9&1/2 hr shift on sat and I worked a 9 hr shift today. Only thing was that my feet hurt from standing that long after having over a week off. You'll be fine. Just make sure you bring your water bottle & protein powder to mix up a shake. :)

Sooooooo good to be here on the post-op losers bench! I had surgery 1 week ago and have kind of been MIA since, sorry about that. Surgery went well, no complications and I came home on Wednesday. I don't know what I was expecting, but I was really not prepared for the pain. I gave birth to 2 giant baby boys, so I like to think I have a pretty high pain threshold, but this surgery kicked my ass. Anyway, I am happy to say that I am feeling MUCH better today and was able to sneeze without crying. That is all I prayed for, a cough or sneeze that did not make me cry for a 1/2 hour after.

I am doing pretty good with getting all of my fluids and protein in, but have had some major head hunger and a serious feeling-sorry-for-myself moment on Saturday. All is better now and I am just taking this one day at a time. I see my Dr. tomorrow for my first post-op, so I am hoping he tells me I am doing well.

Keep up the great work everyone!
