Having a hard time getting my fluids in let alone anything else. Happy to be home though. At least I got some good sleep last night.

I too am having trouble getting anything down. I literally have to force myself to eat. It is such a strange feeling for me to feel full and satisfied after only three to four bites. I am now two days post-op and still a little sore and uncomfortable, but it's nothing unbearable. I still haven't pooped yet though. I can poot like nobody's business I just can't poop. Anyone else having or have had this problem?

Just get as much of it at you can, my only advice. I didn't have to take and clean my system before RNY. Just before my surgery on Tuesday. Good luck.

I had the same problem. I think I finally pooped 3-4 days post-op & was so happy. Lol It's weird,I know, because I used to poop like 3 times a day...probably because I ate so much! I still have problems pooping every now & then. I usually go 3 days between bm's. I get super excited when I go though because I loose more weight. Lol ;-)

I had my revision on Thursay jan.31, the surgery went well. I do have JP drain and a q bag, last night the pain was in bearable under my left breast, I was admitted back to the hospital last night... I hope it's just gas but it hurts....especially when I inhale. Has anyone experienced this?

This is where my pain was the worst and still hurts. I had two JP drains and when they puled the one from the left side I thought I was going to die. My program has us in the hospital for 3-4 days so we get Jp's out and you feel much better prior to discharge. I was told that alot of the equipment goes throught the left side so that side if often more tender. Like I said this is still my problem side and I had surgery the 24. Hope you feel better...

Thank you much! Regardless of the pain I've been waking walking and walking! I will be so glad to this drain out.... Congrats on your surgery!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
