I hope someone comes through for you. It seems so many people give "lip service" but they don't think they will ever be called or they have no intention on following through when they are needed. But like you I drop everything and do for others if I can. I sure wish I was in your town cause I would be there in a heartbeat.

Isn't that the truth, We could get a van full of us and just go to the mall and walk and shop and talk and have a real good time.

That would be soooo fun!! It would be so nice to be with a group of people that understand what it's like! Plus, I bet we'd all make a hell of a fun group! Lol.

Thanks for the inspiring words guys. Just ready to get past the uncomfortableness. It's not super hard to drink, I just don't want to, ya know?

The 30 min Water rule... Does that count for full liquids, 4 days post op? Or is it okay to just take what I can? Eating an ounce or two Tomato Soup and water

I know I haven't been obeying the rule of no drinks right now. and it hasn't been bothering my stomach. but I know I will have to when I have more solid foods.

This is what the nurses gave me when i was discharged. You know those medicine cups you get with the over the counter liquid medicines. They gave me 5 of them. They filled 2 of them with Protein Drink and 3 with Water. They said sip all of it in 1 hour. And repeat till i get my 60 oz of Protein in. I have had no discomfort so far. Thank you Jesus . Just a little sore where the incisions are at. And i have to drink like this for 2 weeks. Kinda weird cuz i feel i can drink more then they suggested. I am allowed to take my Vitamin and my regular prescription pills that i was on before surgery. So far no problems. At this tome i feel very fortunate. But yet wonder why i cant have my SF popsicles or SF Jello. And crystal light drinks. But time is moving fast for me all is ok for now

Old hippie, you can have crystal light in place of some of those waters. Our surgeon doesn't condone the Popsicles because cold can cause discomfort. Don't know about the jello... Sounds good to me right about now. I think I'm going to make some Jello with unflavored Protein.< /p>

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
