Thanks, I just don't get it. Here I take a risk and go through this huge life changing procedure and OF COURSE it's not working for me. I'm so totally annoyed. My surgery was 8/27 that was 2 months ago and inhave only lost 22 lbs. there are people on here who have lost triple that in the same amount of time. I just wish for once, just one time, SOMETHINH would be easy. Guess its just not going to be that way for me. I am getting in all of my Protein, plenty of Water and excersizing....enough already!!'

If it helps you at all I have done that a few times since surgery. I would go up and down the same 3 -5 pounds and then eventualy the scale started moving and I never saw those numbers again. Those stalls lasted anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks so don't get discouraged. I am not 5 1/2 out from surgery and down 86 pounds with only 30 more to go. It will happen for you too. Make sure you are eating enough calories of the right foods and enough Protein, getting enough sleep, Water and exercise and taking your Vitamins. As long as you are doing that there is no way you will not lose this weight. If you go back on the boards you will find my post where I call myself a failure and everyone yelled at me. But here I am and it is going well and hitting numbers I was afraid I would never see again. Have faith in yourself and the process, you will be fine. Remember we gained this weight over a long period of time and to expect us to lose it overnight is not possible (although desireable) but in 5 or 6 months you will also look back and see the amazing amount of weight you will have lost and will be offering support to another new person. You got this!! Smile and keep moving and you will be fine!

Are you still losing inches? I have found that even though my scale has not moved I have lost inches as clothes keep sliding off of me.

No, Music I'm still trying to fit into the same pair of jeans. At this point I'm not even going to attempt to get into them. I'm so frustrated.

I dunno Elle Grace its been 4 weeks and I'm in the same place. The worst thing is that I'm a Band/RNY conversion and I'm right now the exact weight I was before my lap band went so wrong. So basically I've only lost the weight I gained after my band was relieved if it's Fluid. Im Just so done with being in the 200's, 202, 206, 203, 207, 204, this has been my past 5 weeks. I'm going home to see family and friends who know what surgery I've had done (btw I have 3 sisters who are fit and marathon runners) and what am I to say? Oops, it's just not working for me? They are going to look at me like I'm some kind of pig! I seriously am so sorry at this point that I even had this stupid surgery. Sorry but that's how I feel. I'm a total failure at this too, and I'm so tired of being FAT!

Have you talked with your doctor yet?

I am so sorry you are going through this. It does seem terribly unfair. I would speak to your doctor, but I still think that you will still succeed. I was lucky not to be a revision but I had a month stall like this so understand a bit what you are going through, minus the family pressure. Just try try try to stay positive and keep staying the course. We will support you as much as possible but the strength comes from you and I believe you have this, otherwise you never could have undertaken another surgery to fix your health. You deserve to be healthy and I know it will work out. I wish I had the answers but since each of us is different and has different issues I would not even try, except for the general accepted guidelines, which I am sure still stand for you as a revision.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
