What kind of elliptical do you have? I've been thinking of buying one but not sure what to get?

It's a Nordic track E5-si, bought it 3 or 4 years ago at sears. Nothing fancy but definitely makes me break a sweat!!!! I'd rather be outside walking or riding but it's sooooo hot!!!!!

Back to walking. My doctor said I might want to skip Water aerobics until they find out what happened with the whole stroke symptom thing I had....probably wise.

Ok not much but ran up and down the stairs 5 times.

Do you have any idea how many calories you burned just by doing that? Good job to you.

Took my fat little dachshund for a long walk today. And guess what? He's not that fat anymore! He's looking more like a handsome dachshund than a baby fur seal. Lol

This thread motivated me today. I had my pj day but then got up and went to the high school track near me and walked it 4 times at a brisk pace. I haven't walked a track in about 30 yrs. I feel great!

I swam 2 laps in the pool three days this week in Montana, on vacation at Glacier Falls National Park. Walked a bit too. We were 3 crippled old ladies on vacation. Had a great time, sightseeing, on a boat tour, and a helicopter ride (i think i just squeaked on board) and ski lifts. I rang a japanese gong for luck and held a barn owl in Birds of Prey rehab center near Lethbridge, canada. My IPhone became totally useless in canada, i messed it up. What a great week!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
