I was using those baby bel lights to supplement my Protein... my surgeon wants me to do another shake... I too do one in the morning... and boy do I hate it. He said the try the unjury chicken noodle soup..so that's gonna be my next purchase. I have seen pretty good reviews.

It has noodles in it? I can't have any bread/pasta/rice

I drink a pure Protein Shake, bananna and chocolate are great, then have an Isopure drink later that day. Those two together make up 75 g of Protein. Then whatever protein I eat I hit 100 without a problem. Yes they are expensive, but I get them by the case twice a month. I paid more for fast food per month pre surgery.

My suregon required me to get min. 64 grams of Protein daily. You can get lots of protein in by eating cottage cheese (which I love), yogurt (plain & low or non fat). I can eat nuts (7 monnths post op) but I watch and only have a very tiny hand full as a snack. You can have a Protein Shake as a afternoon snack too. I make my protein shake with minimal liquid, either low fat milk or Water and two scoops of Protein Powder which in my brand its 50 grams of protein so I get my major jolt of proetin from my shake which I have as a mid morning snack or as a brekfast.

Their staff are wonderful and easy to work with. The respond to emails quickly. I have my Vitamins and Protein thru them and have it set up for auto ship. If I get ahead or behind on my stock I just email them and make adjustments to my next delivery. No pushy sales staff.

I have a small container of each of the Unjury that I carry in my lunch bag. I will mix it with coffee or crystal light (make sure the coffee or hot Water cools to 109' like they say or it turns to grit) .

Take a water bottle add the crystal light and unflavored Unjury and shake. 20 grams of Protein.< /p>

Is it really "unflavored?" Does it have some flavor? I tried some of the nectar mixes and they taste like pure Protein with a little bit of flavor =P

The Unjury is unflavored, but it does have a specific taste. I have found that it works best for me in savory foods. It improves the flavor of Soups and other savory foods. I tried it in crystal light and the taste was very prominent and unappealing. I really liked the sample of Unjury chicken broth I ate. I would recommend it! Just make absolutely sure to check the Water temp with a thermometer before you add the protein!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
