No One In The Sixties?

Ok - 2 days after surgery, just got home and feeling surprisingly well if a little uncomfortable. Early days I know but hopefully the next few weeks will be fine. The worst thing is having to give myself an injection for the next 3 weeks!:51_scream:

Hopefully they showed you in the hospital how to give yourself the injections. They really do not hurt but they sure did bruise my tummy. I had to take them so I didn't get any bloodclots when I had my surgery in Jan 2016 at the age of 60. Good luck and be sure to not inject in the same area too many times.

Hi everyone's will be sixty two in October. I'm new to this. Still waiting for surgery date should know the 14 of September. I can't wait to take this journey. Right now I am in a lot of pain my knees and my back. I have six grandchildren that I need to play with. I want to be able to do that with out the pain. So this will be a great adventure for me. I am going to have the sleeve done. Best wishes to all of you!! I have read your stories and listened to your advice and I'm going to run with it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
