Ok now Im 4 days post op. The weight is exploding off at 2.5 pounds per day. I've lost 20 total with pre op. i think part of it is doc has me on Clear Liquids for two weeks post op.Tomorrow Im going to start walking again. Today I pulled out my on-q pump. I also use a heating pad at night in lower back to try to help circulation. I believe it helps a great deal. My wife and I went to the grocery store today. That was a mistake! Food' date=' food and more food. Not a lot that any good for you. Lots of obese people as well. Not that Im judging, Im just wondering how bad Americans are getting with overweight. Once I make some progress ill do some pics. My beginning pic is downright scary![/quote']

That is awesome congrats! Glad to hear you are doing well 20lbs is just amazing keep up the great work can't wait to see the pics

I think this is a great idea I can't wait to see what sizes I breeze through.

Thanks dotted. If more people are interested, I'll start the thread. I'm excited to see the size changes. My sister wants me to think about a bathing suit for the cruise in May!

Hey my new wls family.... Just thought I would drop by and say hey and good luck to the people having surgery tomorrow ya'll are in my prayers... On a side note my doctor requires a 2 week liquid diet for surgery so I will be starting that soon and will be on it through thanksgiving which will be tough so my family decided to surprise me this weekend with a thanksgiving dinner at my house and the best part was I didn't even have to cook any of it lol.... I sure do love my family and how supportive they are :)

Yes, they certainly are scary! Never was a fan of them. Maybe this year I'll be more comfy depending on my loss. A dress for a wedding! That should be fun finding something fresh to wear. I think we're all going to do great! ;)

I had a great idea for anyone that is preop. I hate wearing a hospital gown so I took my pjs with me pants and underwear. Then I took a tank top and cut the shoulders and addes velcro. Then I could just step into it without worry of my ivs. The nurses thought this was great and no hospital gown. Ya.

That is a great idea! My hospital had me wearing a gown in front and one in back and a billion wires running everywhere. It was a nightmare getting up to walk and potty, so anything that makes this better is a wonderful idea!

This morning I finally had a "movement." Nothing spectacular but my first since operation. Then I walked pretty leisurely for about a mile. That was pushing it a bit too far. Then weighed for another 2 pound loss. Later today Im going to start going through clothes. I need to get rid of a lot of old clothes and clothes that are one too big maybe.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
