I'm on my way to the hospital. I'm scared and nervous..... I have so many emotions. I really thinking about backing out but my husband is driving and won't turn around.

Lots of good vibes and prayers your way, ! Just do it. You'll be okay, plenty of us are going to follow in your footsteps.

She was really nice. She checked me in before the surgery and after that I didn't see her at all. My surgery was on a Friday. I remember her saying that she will be in town still if she was needed but there was someone else there helping me out. I don't know if it would be different if your surgery is on a Monday.

How are you feeling??? How are the gas pains?

How are you feeling??? How are the gas pains?

I am feeling pretty good. My belly is still very sore. I am still having gas pains but they are not too bad. I just can't wait to be able to get out of bed without needing someones help. And not having to sleep on back. I wake up with pain in my back and it drives me nuts!

Hi everyone Nov 12th here from Northern California...bay area. Will be having my surgery in Mexico though. Been eating nothing but Protein Shakes, salmon.plain tuna, fat free cottage cheese, egg beater and Water for over a month now and I love it! Maybe I am nuts...but as my Dr suspected I most likely have a metabolic disorder that having gastric bypass should fix because in 6 weeks of eating 500 calories a day 15 carbs and 90 grams of Protein with 100 ounces of water I have only lost 4lbs lol...so I am ready this has only further confimed I need this. Would love to have some surgery buddies

I asked my nurse if gasx was okay to take. She said yes. But it might do much.

I refuse to cave. Diets don't work and this is the last option.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
