  • I had an ablation done over a year ago, didn't get my period since the ablation until after my bypass. I have gotten it every month now, hoping it will go away again !! Lol

alot of people have weird things happen to their cycle. i have heard of people not getting it for a while and others who have it forever. I am 7 weeks post op and have spotted pretty much every day since surgery and had my period right on schedule.

Same thing happened to me. I am 8 weeks tomorrow and I just got my period finally last week (week 7). Good luck!

Surgery date 7/30, period next day.miserable in hospital n it was my girls 3 yr birthday. We had balloons, presents n all i could do was sit up for her cause i was star extremely heavy. They wanted me to stay in bed that whole morning. Started 1 month later close to 30 days.

The surgery made me start my period and I was on it for about 2 weeks. Then one week later my actual period started! so I was on by period from Aug 30—until like one week ago! Everyone may be different..

I have been getting it every 15 to 17 days since a month before surgery and now after the same. My PCP said it was stress and now my body is adjusting.

So these period changes are they hormone changes from losing weight?

My lmp was 8/30 and I has surgery 9/10 I've been spotting for the past 4-5 days I should get my period about the 28 I'm all messed up I've noticed the past few days I've been emotional hope to get regular soon

I have NEVER been regular on my periods until, I had my gastric bypass, now I get it every month like clock work. I hate being a girl sometimes.

i had gotten my period the day i got home and i was in the hospital 2 days...so it was a lovely welcoming home lol. It was the most painful period ive had in years.

Mine are on time

I am 10 weeks out and haven't had it yet. But I had a screwy cycle before rny too.

I got mine on the morning of the surgery and its been regular since then..

I had a hystorectomy in 09, but still have my ovaries. I have had bad hormone changes since my rny. I have had two ovarian cyst that have ruptured and my pimples and nightmares hve gotten worse. I think everyone reacts differently to the stress on our new bodies.
