October Surgery Dates

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, just checking in. Got to come home Wednesday morning. Been sooooo sore, but actually feeling a little better today. Have tried to walk around the house and have sat outside and enjoyed the pretty weather. Trying to sip as much as I can, but I just don't care for anything. Hubby says he's getting me out of the house tomorrow, he's been great thru all this.

Its official I'm having my surgery on the 30th. I've known that date for a while but didn't want to say cuz I wasn't sure it was going to happen. I had to find the money to pay for it cuz my insurance doesn't cover it. Well after a lot of work and worrying I found it and it is officially official. Pre op is on the 24th, EDG on the 25th, and surgery on the 30th. I'm so excited but the nerves or kicking in now.

Yes my date is October 29th & even though I've been on this journey for a while. It seem so surreal because its finally about to happen. I don't know why I'm getting a little nervous though is this normal for anyone else?

Welcome.

Dear God please give me strength!!! I really want to cry right now. My Husband made tacos for him and my Mom (who's here visiting and helping). This is just pure torcher. I just want to eat something so bad!!! I'm not even hungry. I don't know that I'm strong enough to make it some days.

Oh you are!! You will be able to have that again, just not now. My sister brought my husband and sons Casey's pizza tonight for supper and it was ruff but I made it. They felt so bad they were going to eat in in the garage but I said I can overcome!! I did!

Hey it's normal to get nervous' date=' I sure did. The closer it got the more nervous I became, but once I got their and was in the process I calmed down after waiting so long to go into surgery, so it gets better. Pray about though. So glad that you have a date though. Just stay posted here because there are plenty of support. Good day!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
