So I went to Walmart today and was able to get the Hibiclens for 5.92 :)

I was wondering if it would b cheaper there. Is that a everyday soap?

That's about a dollar cheaper than I paid at Target. It's not an everyday soap...it's in the pharmacy.

My surgery date is October 8th. I start my liquid diet Sept. 24th and have to stay on it for two weeks. I am not looking forward to the liquids for that long and I'm scared I won't make it that long with just liquids. I will just have to keep reminding myself that I won't get the surgery if I don't stick to the liquid diet. I too, am cleaning my house (deep cleaning). I don't want to have to worry about that kind of stuff, even tho it will need dusting and vacuuming before I am able. I went through my cabinets, fridge, and freezer and got rid of all the foods I can't have. My poor cabinets are now bare. Fridge is cleaned out and filled with Muscle Milk Light, jell-o and bottled Water. I wish everyone all the best in their new adventure finding the healthy you! May God be with all!

Goodmorning all. Im new and spend more time reading blogs that participating.

I have been working toward the RYN since January this year. I finally have a surgery date of 9/15, I am so excited and scared at the same time. My family is split in their feelings about me having surgery. My PCP ,best friend are all on board. My husband is the basic - what-ever-you-want-to-do-honey.

My tipping point to have the surgery was my knees finally wearing out and the constant pain. My kids bought me a cane as a joke and were shocked when i really started to use it.

My job involves a lot of walking and by the time I get home Im done for the day.

Why are you having to do a month of the liquid diet? I suppose if you can do a month, I can surely do two weeks. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm new to this site and not sure if this will go through...but I hope you will stay in touch especially since we have the same surgery date...I am 3rd up...so they say I will go in around 8:30.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
