I was the same way could only tolerate beef & cheese hot dogs (yes ik they are horrid & a no-no) I ate a lot of yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese it wasn't until about 18mo postop before I could eat an egg or ANY poultry or ham without throwing it up. Still can not do tuna or chicken in a can. Salmon I'm fine with. Talk with your dietician see what they say. They are there to guide you. Oh and the only way I can eat an egg if it's a egglands best (any other brand i get ill, crazy) and omlet with cheese. Hard boiled is instant sickness. Wait a few more months and try again. I started with lunch meats. Good luck & don't dispare. If you have to do more Protein Shakes. I'm 2+yrs post op and have a shake every am.

Wendy's chilli goes down easily for me. Poached eggs or soft scrambled with a little turkey sausage and cheese. Cottage cheese. Not too many things I'm comfortable with either but those work well.

Hey thats great 41# in six weeks!!! That's wonderful. Right now veggies can be the enemy. I handle those really cheap pizzas by Tostinos but only the supreme flavor just fine. I have an egg intolerance so eggs aren't my thing either. My nut, wasn't big on me eating them until after 12 weeks. But my Dr standards are really strict post op diet was 2 weeks of Clear Liquids or Jello, 2 weeks of full liquids, 2 weeks purée, 2 weeks soft and then regular. Peanut Butter is a great source of Protein. I remember losing 6# one week & nothing the next!

I live on beef Jerky, edamame and carbmaster yogurt. Used to like eggs, now they make me sick.

Sounds like you have a good WL to me. Hang in there, you're gonna be very happy with the results.

I eat grilled chicken, pork tenderloin, salmon, tuna, lean ground beef or turkey, broiled shrimp. I also eat boiled eggs, low fat cheese of all kinds, low sodium lunch meat, fat free refried Beans, 1% cottage cheese, NSA fruit cups and pudding. I use fresh watermelon for most Snacks. My plan is no bread, Pasta, rice, potatoes for long as you can but at least 4 months. I also cannot have anything with a casing like sausage grapes tomatoes for 3 months.

I made chicken fajitas the other day and that went very well.

Talk to your nutritionist about your food problems they are there to help.

Myself I just have to try different foods to see what will stay down and what does not sit well.

My doctor just kind of yelled at me Becuse I'm not getting in a enough calories and Protein.

He said to start adding in Protein Bars like Adkins or Quest bars for a snack or Meal Replacement.

Got to get the calories up and Protein up to get body out of starvation mode. That will help you lose weight a little faster

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
