Nope. My surgeon told me to lose at least 20 pounds pre-op. Period. No weight loss, no surgery. Never even discussed any kind of diet. Just lose the weight. Worked for me - I lost 35 pounds pre-op!!

Ugh...talk about waiting is exhausting! The whole time I've been aiming for surgery in December, because that'll be my last weigh-in...and now my patient advocate tells me I should exoect to have the surgery by January. She tells me insurance usually takes two weeks for a decision and usually a few weeks to get an appt. for surgery since my surgeon is very busy. No fair! I hate waiting. I can't imagine being stuck in this big, painful body till January 2013. Oh well though. At least there's a light at the end of the tunnel =\

I know love its rough. I love this forum but it does seem that since I signed up it is taking forever. I guess reading daily about this one having surgery that one getting out (which I am totally happy and support them) my impatient self is coming through LOL

I start my two week liquid diet on Monday- ugh! I went into kitchen today and boxed up everything in cabinets and whatever was not open in the fridge' date=' and gave to friends. I am gonna miss BACON![/quote']

Good luck! Eventually you will be able to have bacon. You just have to worry about the fat on it. I eat turkey bacon which has less fat and it is good.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
