I think I am experiencing my first dumping experience...or not? I have bad diarrhea and my stomach is hurting quite a bit. I think it might have been either a bite of hot dog I had yesterday afternoon which was high in fat. Can I experience dumping without having vomiting? I did feel like vomiting but I was able to get rid of that feeling. Now it's just the severe diarrhea. :-(

I wouldn't think what you ate yesterday would make you dump today....but I'm a RNY virgin, we need the experts to chime in.

I do not know if it is dumping but you can having dumping syndrome with vomit. I had it with hot dogs Pasta Sauce and Salisbury steak only I started feeling weak I got really hot and I turned pale. I laid down for about 15 min and was fine. I have never tried them since.

Okay. So I think I did have dumping syndrome then. I felt sweaty and cold and then I felt like I was going to vomit and like I was going to faint. I did lay down for a while last night and it went away but then after a while I started with the diarrhea. Now that I look back I did have a bite of my son's hot dog so that muy have been it.

Why would you dump on sf ice cream? That's weird and disappointing.

I was told, after I experienced this as well, that the sugar-free ice cream might not have sugar but it has sugar alcohol, which some of don't seem to tolerate either. Check to see if your ice-cream had the sugar alcohol and then that might be the culprit.

The dietician said that the dumping was caused by the heavy cream. No more ice cream from the ice cream places maybe from the supermarket where I can see/read the ingredients.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
