Uuuufff I started working out 2 days ago now I'm on a stall. WTF?!?! I thought I would drop more. Now its 2 days and not even down an ounce.

Remember as you begin to workout you are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. I have stalls all the time when I introduce something new. This is a long race not a sprint. The weight will come off just be patient!

Had a moment at work where I got a little Jello of all my friends eating yummy taco saladinland soda for lunch. Can't have salads yet and of course soda is a no-no. And I had my little slice of lunch meat. I really wanted a soda or something sugary. But then realized that even though it sucked a little I was very greatful for the surgery and not being allowed to have soda. Because it is a tool to help us resist temptations we couldn't otherwise resist!

I think you would find that if you had eaten something you should not have you would have gotten sick. There are lots of things I want, but throwing it up is a powerful motivator for me

Keep doing EXACTLY what you're doing. Follow the protocol as close to the letter as you can. Stay active. And...YES the weight absolutely, positively, beyond any shadow of a doubt will come off. And as others have said, long term there are very few things that you will never be able to eat again. You WILL reach your goal and you will Celebrate your decision every single day for the rest of your new life. What you're feeling right now is quite common (as you can tell from the responses). It will pass and you're gonna love the new you!!!

Aww thanks. I needed that. :) I am focusing on my workouts and Water and Protein and Vitamins but I honestly can say that I have given myself a little wiggle room now. I have had 3 crackers with a meal once and a while or the sugar free pudding which really makes the sweet cravings go away. It ls kinda funny I've started to really notice my pouch I am 3 weeks out and down 30 pounds. My head hunger is basically gone too. I am still at 249 but I am getting closer to the goal weight of 120-140 pounds. But now I am trying to just trust the process. But I do weigh myself everyday sometimes a few times. I know that's counter productive but that's where I am right now. Idk. Anyway again thanks for ur kind words.

Dear Got2bethin,

You hang in there - ya hear me ??? !!! Let me tell you, I am 4 months out and down 74 pounds. I too was in the WTF stage. I questioned daily why I had done what I had done.... I cried, I grieved. Today I went to the movie with my family and had popcorn !! Okay, I didn't get the buttery kind, but I ordered a small bag without the goo and ate it !! I go out with my family and eat very small portions of whatever they are having. What's my point ??? LIFE GETS NORMAL AGAIN !! IT REALLY, REALLY DOES !! I understand everything you are feeling and sympathize greatly, but you hang in there, life all balances out again in the NEAR future.... Life is good !!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
