Ty. I guess that happens sometime' date=' remember your stomach has changed and now you have to get to know it again. I know you can do it. I have faith in you. How is your healing going?[/quote']

The only pain I feel comes from the incisions as far as the inside I'm starting to question what he did, nothing makes me sick and I don't get that full feeling I are a cup of Jello at one sitting... I shouldn't have been able to do that

I am experiencing the exact same thing. Everything has been a breeze. no pain, no nausea, no issues with anything I eat, no sense of feeling full, I am 10 days out and feel normal except my stomach itching so much from the healing. I started questioning if I got the sleeve instead but have to remind myself I no longer suffer from acid reflux which I had bad before and would be worse now if I had the sleeve.

Exactly! I haven't had any internal discomfort! Just the incisions. I'm 7 days out. I do get a slight full feeling, but it quickly fades, I don't get hungry, I just get not full. Lol. Its really hard to explain.

Instead of that old totally uncomfortable feeling of full or stuffed that I used to get before surgery, I now just get a feeling of I just don't want anymore. That urge to over eat is gone!! seems like my head is in control now not my stomach.

Does that make sense?

Exactly! Jesus sometimes explaining these feelings is trying to get a blind man to imagine color! Lol.

Was going great but have stalled and am slightly gaining over the last 4 days. I'm wondering if its because I am completely blocked up. I tried taking milk of magnesia last week and it left me feeling sick and weak all night long. Scared to try Magnesium citrate cause it may make me go too much to the point of dehydration. I'm now putting Benefiber in my water/mio mix to see if it helps. Not seeing any loss and the slight gaining is kinda defeating.

My doctor said no laxatives, only stool softners. So tomorrow that's what I will be buying as well. Good luck and just don't give up

I live in north richland hills. I went to dr barker and my surgery was 6-5-12. I love dr barker and his staff.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
