Hello everyone,

I've been reading this forum for a few weeks and I cannot thank you guys enough. Well, tomorrow morning at 7:30 I have to report to the hospital for surgery. I just packed my bag with items that I will need. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Hope everything will be ok. Please everyone keep me in your prayers.

Hi everyone

All went well, thank you. In my room resting until they tell me its ok to go for a walk. Pain is not so bad now. But after surgery in recovery room I wanted to die. Pain in my chest, back...worst than having gald bladder removed. Thank you for all the prayers and support. I am so hungry, just having ice chips.

I'm heading home today. I miss my bed. Went in on July 3rd leaving on July 5th. Starved for two days. This morning they gave me hello, chicken broth and crystal light. I'm still in pain.

Thanks for caring. I am in my bed taking Lortab elixir for pain and Protonix for gas. So far so good. It's getting up from the bed that is a killer.

Hi Ellody,

I had my surgery on Monday so I'm a day ahead of you. I feel you on the recovery room pains...OMG!!!! Thank goodness for morphine pumps! I feel a little better today, only taking the elixer in the morning and at night to help me sleep. I have belched my head off but seems to be getting better. I don't have a drain, do you? Thanks goodness, I was dreading the removal. My doctor does a three week clear liquid diet after so all I am getting is sf Jello, sf popsicles, Water, G2 and crystal light. It all tastes way too sweet to me but I'm getting it down! Good Luck to you

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
