Does everyone enjoy their last favorite meals before pre-op diet? Well im am lol. So yesterday we went out to my favorite chinese buffet. The wait originally was 1hour when we got there. When they called our number i waved it in the air so the man could show us where to go. As my family and i walked up to the man he yelled at the top of his lungs "OH NO YOU CAN'T SIT HERE YOU ALL TOOOO BIG" (it was a booth) omg i never wanted to strike some one so hard for saying something about our size. There was a table next to the booth so i told him fine we there. He said NO, and i said "ok now where would you like us to sit". He said you wait. I swear we stood there for 40 minutes. So when the guy showed us to our table i nicely asked him for an apology, but he proceeded to tell us how were to big. I told him to get out of my face and let me enjoy my meal cuz we will never come back. We waited so long i just didn't want to walk out after so long. Maybe it would have been different if it was only me and my hubby. Some people just have no manners. I am still in shock and i actually cried in private about it. I know my journey of being fat is almost over, and i hope to inspire my family to do the same. Fudge man i cant wait till 8/15

There are very rude people out there.... you just have to ignore them. I enjoyed my last supper too - LOL my BFF in work brought me lunch of fried pickles and my last meal was a awsome cheeseburger. My doctor did not have me on a pre surgery diet, I just had to eat light the day before surgery.

People can be so insensitive! That sucks - but it's good motivation I guess. Lol we have been having last meals all week. Tonight was wings and ice cream. Tomorrow is pancakes, and Thursday is idk - probably olive garden for Pasta alfredo.

Yolyann,

I would still write a complaint letter and try to post of their business page. No one should be treated that way.

Ohhh I tried to do too much stuff the last few days and gave myself kidney infection that I'm still battling. :(. However, I was able to eat pizza in the car ( to go) on the way to the movies to get Icee and popcorn. Heaven - will I ever be able to eat popcorn again?

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
