Looking forward to drying off after a shower and have it not feel like an olympic event!

Ok when I'm feeling lousy I just have to come and read these... I love 'em all! Here's another that I didn't realize until yesterday. My husband and I rode into town together (in my minivan) and he had to move the seat back! As I moved it forward again, I thought geez, my tummy isn't hitting the steering wheel and I'm driving with my whole foot not just my tippy toes (because I had to have the seat so far back)!!!

Don't need to worry about fitting in a restaurant booth or getting the door shut in a restroom.

I haven't been to this thread in awhile, but I was thinking of one today so I came and read up on all the latest posts. Anyways I would love not being the one who creaks the wood floors in our house so loud! It's awful! Especially when we have company over and I have to get up and walk around when everyone is quiet! It's like I know what everyone is thinking but atleast no one says anything! Oh and since it's that time of the month I thought it'd be nice not to struggle so hard to put a tampon in! Lol we got a lot to look forward to!!!!

Buying fast food and people looking at you like you don't have the right to eat too.

There are some.great ones on here I'm looking forward to:

1. Being able to hike, ski and do marathons with all my really athletic coworkers.

2. Go to my kids events without feeling.embarrassed for them because I know people are staring at me.

3. Dancing again. Practicing tap and ballet with my girls.

4. Being able to sneak a quickie in with my husband just about anywhere in our house.

5. Standing out at work for my performance and not my.weight.

I wont have to hide in my house anymore, for fear of frightening small children, or being mocked by jerks.

I wont have to lie on my drivers license anymore

I wont have to keep a variety of clothing sizes in my house because my weight goes up and down and up again, and so do my sizes (room is overflowing from sizes 20 to 28.

I can shop in nicer clothing stores and fit!

I wont have to be afraid of ruining the shocks when i sit in the backseat of someone's car.

I wont have to sweat all the time.

My feet and ankles and knees and back wont hurt so much.

I might even feel sexy?

Don't need to worry about fitting in a restaurant booth or getting the door shut in a restroom.

The restroom definitely. Some of them are so small!

I'll be able to button my winter coat! And be able to bend over far enough to get my boots on. Every season will be more comfortable! I'm already noticing that I can dress more comfortable for this heat wave we're having...

Surgery May 30, pre-surgery weight 233, day of surgery 221, current weight 192! Happy, happy! :-)

Being able to carry a child with me and baby being healthy. Having a real wedding without feeling like a washed up whale in a dress. Seeing my hubby come back from deployment to a hot wife. Be able to get picked up and not afraid that I will break my hubbys back. Be able to look like my age instead of a older lady due to my weight. Not be made fun of anymore in my lifetime. And the most important, to be healthy.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
