Donna's Story - Surgery 5/22/12

Well... I am 3 weeks post op and doing ok.

History: Had lap band in 08 and it was a mess! My allergies are severe and I would experience post nasal drip and the band would clog... then I would be sick... then my stomach would swell.. then I couldn't eat (or barely drink) for 2-3 days! I messed around with the fill for 3 years and decided I was done! The same doctor took out the band in March of 2012 and did the RNY in May 2012. I still struggle with my allergies, but I am finding that if I take a Claritin D before bed, I am LESS nauseous in the morning.

Current condition: I have a bit of nausea. I am never hungry or thirsty so its a struggle to get in all the liquids I need.. and the protien shakes. I am taking all the Vitamins... that is kind of gross. I hope to get over the nausea as my stomach heals over the next few weeks.

Weird things: Lots of nausea, foamy burps, first sip of Water in the morning feels like a cannon ball in my stomach!

Anyone else experience this? Please tell me it goes away!!
