  1. Great job. I am 3 weeks post op and am struggling with nausea. My stomach always feels full so I am having a rough time putting anything in it! If you have a small pillow, take that to work with you and hold it against your left side while you sit and work. It helps!
  2. I chose bypass because of the "bypass" part of it!! You will be able to eat more (eventually) with the Sleeve and everything you eat is absorbed. With bypass, I knew I would get the best results because of the bypass... yes you have to take supplements the rest of your life, but it's worth it. I believe the success rate for RNY is higher than Sleeve. You don't want to have a second surgery, if the sleeve fails you would have to go back in for RNY. I just did it from the git go! Good luck!
  3. Well... I am 3 weeks post op and doing ok. History: Had lap band in 08 and it was a mess! My allergies are severe and I would experience post nasal drip and the band would clog... then I would be sick... then my stomach would swell.. then I couldn't eat (or barely drink) for 2-3 days! I messed around with the fill for 3 years and decided I was done! The same doctor took out the band in March of 2012 and did the RNY in May 2012. I still struggle with my allergies, but I am finding that if I take a Claritin D before bed, I am LESS nauseous in the morning. Current condition: I have a bit of nausea. I am never hungry or thirsty so its a struggle to get in all the liquids I need.. and the protien shakes. I am taking all the Vitamins... that is kind of gross. I hope to get over the nausea as my stomach heals over the next few weeks. Weird things: Lots of nausea, foamy burps, first sip of Water in the morning feels like a cannon ball in my stomach! Anyone else experience this? Please tell me it goes away!!
