Newbie From Chicago

So excited! My surgery is set for 6/11/12. I'm a bit worried about my preop testing on 6/5 upper gi. Pulmonary function leg Doppler and bllod tests. I just feel like something will go wrong and ill have to postpone. I passed the psyc eval nuclear stress test and a visit with the pulmonologist. I've started the protein diet two weeks early to get a jump start. I never weigh myself so who knows if its working. I refuse to buy a scale. Ill weigh in at Dr appointments. I'm a 34 year old mother of 4. My start weight was 338. I'm 5'6.5 in dire need of a buddy to take this journey with me. My husband of 17years is not that supportive. He likes fat girls LOL. I think its making him insecure. Any advice or help would be greatliry appreciated.

It acutely helped having my husband go to some of the appointments with me so he could understand its not about me wanting to be skinny but me wanting to keep up with the kids which i haven't been able to since my hysterectomy

Congrats on your surgery! Great idea to start the pre-op diet a little early. As long as you've been approved by your insurance company for the surgery, you can't lose too much pre-op. The more the better!
