On The Liquid Diet Before Surgery How Many Lbs Did U Lose?

I am almost one week in to my protein shake diet before my surgery on the 31 i have only lost two lbs ... i am wondering if its normal.... i have been doing the shakes and my extra 20 g of protein and water.

I had a friend who lost. Total of 5 pounds on the 2wk liquid diet. Try not to worry about the weight you could be losing, the main goal is that your liver will be shrinking allowing for easier movement and access to your stomach for surgery.. Good luck to you & congratulations!

I have a friend that only lost 8 lbs I think it depends on how healthy you are before you start the diet or something!

Thanks for the response.... i have had a few friends that have had this diet before surgery and they all lost 20 or more lbs. I called the nurse cause it was bothering me and she told me it because i have already put my self on a low calorie diet and have already lost 10 lbs this month
