Scared..but Anxiously Waiting..and Counting The Days!

Dear Friends,

Im soo afraid of dying..there I said it !! Most everyone I have talked to, say it will be okay..bc Im healthier than most..but Im scared. This will be my first ever surgery! And I start to cringe just thinking about it. :0/

I worry the most about my legs. I have varicose veins in my lower calves. I wear thick support socks 24/7. My primary diabetic doctor said I was good to go, bc I don't have deep vein tromboises. I could wait a few months, and have laser surgery to smooth out my "bumps." But, I still worry, and cry myself to sleep at night. :0/ I have fought for this surgery for almost 2 years and been denied, and finally approved a month ago. I want it. But I can't help to be frightened. Can anyone tell me what to expect the first few hours, days, and months after surgery? Thank you.

Hey Barbie Doll!

I know this site is wonderful. I have more friends here and more support than I have from some family members. Sad, but true. Anyway, I'm doing o.k,. I get my stitches out tomorrow and hopefully get my diet advanced. I'm sick of protein shakes and jello. I never thoght I would die for a green bean! LOL You hang in there girl, and if you need anything at all just holler.

I know excellent group! Hang in there.

Feel better soon.

I think I felt that feeling at first BUT I also knew that God had opened the door for me to have the surgery. He got me through it and I had such a sense of peace all the way up to and including that day. If He wanted to take your life He would anyway but I believe for you all too that He opened that door to set you up for success so you could fulfill His plan and be yet another testimony! Praying for you!!!
